After the completion of the new social hall space at St. Patrick Church in Clear Lake, Iowa, I was initially asked if I could provide my personal sound equipment to use for the services. Initially, this worked however with the possibility of needing to take my equipment back, I suggested a solution for a sound system for the new space.
While the initial system was designed to be something temporary, it continued to evolve into what has now become a permanent sound system in the social hall space. About a year later, a projector was installed by a third party in the space. While it worked initially, over time, problems began and I worked to find solutions to make things more usable. We had a cabinet designed and built and moved our audio equipment to this space while also adding a laptop, DVD player, and Google Chromecast. The audio was routed from the devices to the projector and back through the sound system.
Today, the space can be used to play music, movies, host presentations, and even video conferences with the A/V solution. In 2020, the projector was integrated into the live stream solution for overflow space.
